The role
The role of Global Head of Performance & Rewards is an established position that now enters its next phase of maturity. With core foundations already in place, the focus is on evolving, scaling, and optimizing our global performance and rewards frameworks to support continued growth and increasing organizational complexity.
Based at our Global Headquarters in Copenhagen, the role is part of the Global People & Development function, working closely with teams across People Experience, People Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Learning, and Analytics, as well as regional People teams worldwide.
Reporting to Frederik Rosenstand, Director of People & Development, this role serves as the subject matter expert across performance, compensation, and benefits. It combines strategic ownership with hands-on execution, ensuring that frameworks are robust, scalable, and aligned with business priorities. With a potential IPO on the horizon and a growing strategic focus on this area, the role offers significant scope for further development, including the opportunity to build and lead a team over time.
Key responsibilities
- Own and evolve the global performance and rewards strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and our people-first culture.
- Strengthen and scale existing performance management and promotion frameworks to support growth, clarity, and internal mobility.
- Own and refine the global job architecture and leveling framework, ensuring consistency, transparency, and governance across markets.
- Design and manage compensation structures, including salary bands, bonus schemes, and long-term incentive programs.
- Lead global benchmarking, salary reviews, and internal equity analyses to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
- Oversee and continuously improve benefits offerings across markets, balancing global consistency with local relevance and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with global and local regulations, including evolving pay transparency requirements.
- Partner closely with Finance, Legal, and senior leadership on compensation planning, budgeting, and workforce strategy.
- Leverage HR systems and data to enhance decision-making, reporting, and process efficiency.
- Drive communication and change management initiatives related to performance, compensation, and rewards.
What you’ll bring
- Solid experience in compensation and rewards from a large, international company, ideally within retail or food & beverage.
- Hands-on experience in performance management and HR operations.
- Ability to translate complexity into clarity, mapping out organizational structures and developing scalable frameworks.
- Familiarity with job evaluation methodologies (e.g. IPE) is a plus.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and seniority levels.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical capabilities (advanced Excel required).
- Fluent in English - other languages are a bonus!
