Senior Financial Controller, Nordics

Your mission

Own the financial reporting and statutory compliance for the Nordic region at JOE & THE JUICE. As our Financial Controller, Nordics, you will lead the month-end close, statutory reporting, and external audits - while acting as the go-to financial partner for both internal stakeholders and external authorities. Based at our Global HQ in Copenhagen, you will work closely with our Controlling, FSS, and FP&A teams to drive accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement across our financial operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting for the Nordics in line with local GAAP and IFRS
  • Lead the month-end close and reconciliation process in collaboration with our Financial Shared Services team
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and manage external audits, acting as the primary contact for auditors and tax authorities
  • Handle tax and VAT declarations in collaboration with the tax team, ensuring full local compliance
  • Drive improvements to close processes - increasing accuracy and shortening cycle times
  • Leverage technology to build scalable, efficient accounting operations and reporting processes
  • Partner with FP&A, FSS, and Business Partners to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Serve as a trusted sparring partner to regional business leaders, translating numbers into actionable insights
  • Support Group reporting and contribute to building the control environment ahead of our IPO

Who are you

You combine deep technical expertise with a hands-on approach and a genuine drive to improve how things work. You are structured and detail-oriented, comfortable with complexity and tight deadlines, and just as comfortable presenting insights to senior leaders as you are in the detail of a reconciliation. You thrive in fast-moving environments and bring a scale-up mindset to everything you do.

What you bring

  • 7+ years of experience in financial controlling or accounting within an international organisation
  • Prior Big 4 or audit firm background preferred, with at least 3 years outside of public accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and local statutory reporting
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and advanced Excel
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented, and intellectually curious
  • Fluent in English with strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
